Residential models of letting & management are influencing the new commercial world

There were lots of predictions over the past 2 years on how Covid-19 would change our lives indefinitely. Whilst many parts of people’s lives have quickly gone back to some sort of normal, there is no doubt that the changes to the commercial world of work are significant and are here to stay.

Tenants are looking for simpler solutions to their commercial spaces and desire flexibility, ease and all-inclusive services. Less paperwork, no headaches and lower costs. Landlords, especially in City Centres, will need to adapt to these changes. There has been a clear Amazon-ification, a Deliveroo-ification even (!), of occupiers expectations. Many commercial occupiers no longer want to worry about dilapidations, unknown service charge levies, high legal costs or other perceived old hat expenditure.
